Good morning everyone,

Getting inspired by Obsessed Garage, but then:

Here's what's going on this week:

➡️ Are detailing content creators faking the "dirty" shots?

➡️ The E92 was NOT the first BMW 3 Series with a V8

➡️ How to keep your brake rotors from rusting after washing your car

➡️ more, of course 💬

This week's video 🚗

In this week's video, I share a simple strategy to not only keep your car from aging but actually make it look better over time... gradually.

So if you don't find epic YouTube transformations relatable, this one's for you!

How to keep your brake rotors from rusting after washing your car 🏁

Have you ever been frustrated with rusty brake rotors immediately after washing your car?

Sure, as soon as you hit the brakes, the pads will scrub it off (although it'll spray rusty dust all over your clean wheels). But what happens if your car will be parked for a while after washing it?

Maybe you're storing it for the winter or doing an in-depth detail on the rest of the car for the next few days.

Staring at your rusty rotors while you spend hours perfecting your paint right next to them is pretty discouraging.

I used to think it was just one of those things that we can't do anything about.

Then I saw a video from Jim at White Details and realized there's an incredibly simple fix.

Sure, you can buy a spray-on product that stops rust from forming, but that's a waste of money.

All you have to do is this:

When you're done washing your car, start it up and drive back and forth, using the brakes somewhat hard.

You don't have to get up to a substantial speed or anything, and as long as your driveway is at least a few car lengths long, you don't even have to leave your house.

The pads remove the water and do a pretty good job of drying the surface of the rotor... at least good enough for them to avoid turning bright orange with rust.

If this is one of those little things that has been bugging you, try it out!

Make your paint look new again!

Over time, your car’s paint becomes dull and faded.

Some serious garage inspiration

Obsessed Garage has started a spinoff channel that focuses on telling the stories of some of their customers.

Episode 1 is an absolute banger. The look and feel of this place is right up my alley, and it's plenty functional too.

Are detailing content creators faking the "dirty" shots?

Sometimes the before-and-after transformation is just a little hard to believe.

This Cadillac's starting condition is being questioned... We're supposed to believe that the car sat for long enough for the exterior to look like it was buried underground, yet the interior was still dust-free?

I've been wondering how long it'll take before shady people start faking these detailing videos. I mean, we already have a guy telling us to wash our cars with a broom (so he can sell us the broom).

A beautiful video of a Midnight Purple Nissan GTR

I've always wished I knew how to achieve this kind of cinematography in my vids but I wouldn't even know where to start.

The scenery, the sounds, the camera angles... this one is drool-worthy.

Think the E92 was the first BMW 3 series with a V8? You're wrong.

This video tells the story of Alpina and how they did what BMW told them was impossible - install a V8 engine into an E36.

Really cool stuff!

A 30-year-old Ford Lightning with 100 miles gets detailed

I've gotta be honest, despite the big-dollar cars this shop works on, I find myself judging their techniques often. Regardless, they still make some interesting videos that are satisfying to watch.

This time, an all-original Ford Lightning receives a thorough cleanup and paint correction.

He's giving the POV driving channels a run for their money, and they don't even know it

I'm not sure of this guy's back story, but he appears to be filthy rich with a knack for shooting high-quality videos.

That's a darn good combination. Check this one out as he screams through the mountains in a Ferrari 430 Scuderia.

Talk soon,
